Support Our Mission with a Legacy Gift
A Codicil is a simple, free legal ’add-on’ as a gift to our Trust while keeping your current Will exactly as it is.
You don't need to rewrite your Will or pay expensive legal fees to make a lasting difference for our society.
How to make your legacy gift official:
Download & Print: Click the button below to download a complimentary customised Codicil form.
Fill in the Details: Choose whether you would like to leave a specific cash amount, a percentage of your estate, or a specific asset to our society.
Sign with Two Witnesses: To make it legally binding under New Zealand law, you must print out and sign the document in front of two independent witnesses (such as neighbours or colleagues) who are over 18 and are not family members or beneficiaries in your Will.
Safely Store It: Place your signed Codicil in the same folder or envelope as your original Will. Please do not staple or paperclip it to your existing Will, as this can cause complications later. Simply keep them safely together, and let your Executor know where they are located.
🔒 Protect Your Gift: To ensure your wishes aren't lost or accidentally misplaced over time, we highly recommend taking or mailing a copy of your signed Codicil to the law firm that holds your original Will so they can attach it. We also request that you scan the document or send a download to pakehamovement@gmail.com for our files.
